Unfortunately, not everyone will have their cat or dog neutered. As usual this leads to a surplus of unwanted animals. In many cases a pregnant bitch, or cat, is literally dumped, or if it is lucky, is handed in as 'unwanted'. Alternatively, some owners keep the bitch, or cat, until the litter arrives and then find that they cannot cope. Either way, we will 'take in' these unwanted animals rather than have them suffer in any way.
Not every animal can be put into a cat or dog rescue centre. There are many costs involved in doing this. What we try to do is find an alternative home where the animals can find the happy and content life that they deserve. In some cases we have people waiting for certain animals and they get rehomed virtually straight away.
However, sometimes it can take a while for a suitable home to become available. In these cases, we aim to home the animals in a temporary home with 'Foster Parents'. It is far better for an animal to live in a home environment than to locked up in cages, living in hope that somebody will choose them. For any suitable and willing 'Foster Parent' we will supply or fund the food required along with any vets bills incurred whilst the animal is in their care. All the Foster Parent has to give is their kindness and attention to these poor animals whilst a new home is sought.
If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please fill in the form on the 'contact' page and we will be in touch.
The images on the left and below are are just a small selection of the animals that we have re-homed.
