Treat Me Kindly

Treat me kindly, my beloved friend

for no heart in all this world is more

grateful for kindness than the loving

heart of me.

Do not break my spirit with a stick for

though I should lick your hand between

blows, your patience and understanding

will more quickly teach me the things

you would have me learn.

Speak to me often, for the voice

is the world’s sweetest music,

as you must know by the fierce wagging

of my tail, when your footsteps

fall upon my waiting ear.

Please Take me inside when it is cold

and wet for I am a domestic animal,

no longer accustomed to bitter elements.

I ask no greater glory than to have the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth.

Keep my pan filled with water for

I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst.

Feed me clean food that I may stay well,

to romp and play and do your bidding,

to walk by your side, and stand ready,

willing and able to protect you with my life,

should your life be in danger.

And my friend, when I am old and no longer

enjoy good health and sight,

do not make heroic efforts to keep me going,

I am not having fun.

Please see that my trusting life is taken gently.

I shall leave this earth knowing that

with the last breath I draw that my

fate

was always safest in your hands.

Home

Our Purpose.

Our purpose is to aid low income pet owners to have their animals neutered,

this way unwanted kittens and puppies do not become the next generation of animal cruelty statistics.

We also take in any 'unwanted' pets and place them in foster homes, until a permanent lovong home can be found for them.

For the foster carers, we cover the cost of food and any veterinary bills.

We are always looking for new foster homes for our cats and dogs in the area can you help?

We have a number of animals looking for a new home, could you offer one?

( We must carry out a home check before placing any animal with you)

We also take in and specialise in sick injured and orphaned wildlife where we nurse them back to health with the view of returning them back to the wild.

All our volunteers have many years of experience in the care of both domestic and wild animals, and are happy to offer advice and help.

We run a 24 hour service for EMERGENCY

If you could help by making a donation, donating wool,

Polyester filled quilts for making dog beds, towels, blankets etc, fabric, trimmings etc, for making fundraising items, unwanted cages or donating unwanted gifts for

tombola and raffle prizes we would be most grateful.

We have recently launched a fund raising appeal to help raise the money to purchase a small plot of land with the intention of installing

a cattery to house the growing number of cats.

There are a number of animal charities around that all have the same problem, UNWANTED CATS.

We can re-home them but space is limited.

Our hope is to ease some of the demand for space.

PLEASE DONATE any amount is much appreciated and no amount is too small

We specialise in the care and rescue of Small dogs, paying particular attention to Chinese Crested , Chihuahua and Poodles.

We never give up on a healthy animal no matter what it is.

Save Lives

A cat or dog who has babies, and whose babies have babies, can be responsible for the birth of 50 to 200 kittens or puppies in just 1 year.

With never enough homes for these unfortunate animals, Millions of cats and dogs are euthanized annually or lead short, painful lives as strays.

Think of all the suffering just one neutered animal can save !

Wyre Forest Pony Trust (in association with WFAT)

Kim Moody Cow

Kim has worked with us for as long as we have been established.

She has helped us with all animals but her greatest passion has been Horses.

When she suggested branching out into horses and ponies we could see her point that there

was a great need for this.

"These are her words"

On a trip to Wales I saw the devastating state of some of the poor ponies it broke my heart.

We returned from Wales with 9 of these ponies in the trailer,

I had to make the decision to take them or leave them to die, Leaving them to their fate was not an option!!

2 of the ponies were in such a bad state they collapsed when attempting to get them into the trailer.

We were unsure they would even make it home alive, but by some miracle they did.

Unfortunately after a lot of love care and determination, i failed to keep the 12 year old mare alive :( she had been severly malnourished and so weak she couldnt stand on her own,

After over 24hours of syringe feeding and the vet tubing her there was nothing else could be done, the vet gave her 2% chance of survival,

she slowly got weaker and weaker through the night and couldn't even sit up alone by morning,

So the only thing (and Kindest )that could be done was to have her put to sleep, peacefully, warm and loved in her last 2 weeks of life.

R.I.P Purple Ronnie.

Another fighter is little Alan trooper. he is also severly malnourished

He was put on steroids and slow worming program along with lots of small feeds and suppliments.

Alan Trooper is the only pony i have ever had to resusciate!!

Every morning He has to be helped to get up from the floor as he has no muscle at all,

The good News is

He is getting brighter everyday and has becoming a very cheeky little man

UPDATE: Alan Trooper has gone 4 days running now without us having to pick him up off the floor in the morning, I love his excited squeal every time he sees us

Along with Ronnie and Alan there is also his brother Angelo who has been now been adopted into a great loving home,Charlie who again has been happily adopted and Sonny who is awaiting a kind home., also we had another 4 ponies who have happily  been adopted

We are run as WFAT, totally by Volunteers

My aim while working with this registered charity is to rescue and rehabillitate then rehome ponies in need,we run entirely on the Kind  donations of the public and other fundraising Events.

charity number 1118948 if you need any help or advise with regards to a horse or pony please feel free to ask.

We are always looking for stuff to sell on our car boot stall.

We would be very grateful if you can donate any items to us.

We also need all kinds of equestrian equippment to keep us going.

We are using old quilts at rthe moment to keep the ponies warm so if you have any horse blankets we would be really grateful

We can collect.
